Blue Scottish Garb

Description

This was made for the 2004 faire season for The outfit includes a chemise, tam, shawl, wrists bracers, corset, and two skirts. The chemise was made of normal cotton muslin, the tam, shawl, and overskirt were made of a woven plaid, the underskirt was made of blue cotton broadcloth and the corset and bracers were made of blue suade cloth. I remember rushing to finish everything on time, but I actually finished with a few days to spare. Everyone loved the garb and Kristin looked great in it!

Oh yeah, and the dog is Blue, Kristin's Italian Greyhound:)

I know I'm VERY late to this conversation, but yes, they most definitely had greyhounds AND Italian greyhounds in medieval times. Look at old paintings and you'll find they are actually quite common among the nobility. Both are very old breeds, unlike the whippet, which is quite modern. I have a greyhound and four Italian greyhounds. They're wonderful dogs, and very elegant. I used to bring my greyhound to Adrian Empire events (a group much like the SCA).

Your outfit is awesome!
